Christina Tang is a Semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Costume Design from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, China, and also studied Advanced Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, UAL, UK.

redress Design Award Collection

Christina’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘NEW SUIT’, gives new life to unwanted suits. The collection preserves the original craftsmanship of suits discarded by friends, while incorporating end-of-roll fabrics to create new designs. Men’s suits are transformed into women’s dresses using the sky blue inner layer of the suits and accented with dark deadstock fabrics. Versatile designs allow for multiple ways of wearing the garments, encouraging longevity.
