Applications open for Redress Design Award 2024

The Redress Design Award 2024, the 14th cycle of the world’s leading sustainable fashion design competition, is now open for applications worldwide!

Emerging fashion designers with less than four years of experience in the fashion industry are invited to showcase their skills in sustainable fashion design and compete for exciting prizes, including this year an exciting new opportunity with global fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger. Finalists will also win an expenses-paid trip to Hong Kong for an educational bootcamp culminating into the Grand Final Fashion Show, where the winners will be announced.

Join us in rethinking fashion by designing with circularity, a system where clothing is made and used in a closed loop. The circular model combats the fashion industry’s environmental issues by eliminating waste and pollution at every stage, from design to consumer use, while conserving natural resources.

The First Prize winner will have the opportunity to join the Tommy Hilfiger team and work on a sustainable design project for retail, gaining valuable industry experience and building on their knowledge of sustainable fashion. As our Exclusive Fashion Sponsor, Tommy Hilfiger supports Redress’ vision of a waste-free future for fashion. Under their guidance, the winner will deepen their skills and understanding of sustainable production and marketing, and receive mentorship sessions to support their ongoing career.

Applicants to the Redress Design Award are encouraged to check out the Redress Circular Fashion Design Course, previously known as the Pathway Course. A new course module on ‘Design for Recyclability’, featuring Jessica Wei from Tommy Hilfiger, will also be launching in late January. The free, online self-study resources are available in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. Applicants to the Redress Design Award will enjoy extended access to course material until 15 March 2024, when the application period closes.
