Sarah Devina Susanto was a finalist of the Redress Design Award 2017. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design from the Raffles Institute of Higher Education, Jakarta, Indonesia and currently works as a fashion designer for an independent womenswear brand.

To me sustainable fashion means creating and maintaining a system which can be supported indefinitely in terms of human impact on the environment and social responsibility. For her Redress Design Award (formerly the EcoChic Design Award)application, Sarah applies the up-cycling technique to cut-and-sew waste, hotel bedsheets and jute sacks, which are of great cultural importance in Indonesia, transforming them into beautiful clothes.
