REDRESS DESIGN AWARD 2024 APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Your application should be submitted via the competition online application system with the following documents:
All documents are to be presented in (or translated to) English, Traditional Chinese, or Simplified Chinese. No other language will be accepted.
All competition artwork must be original creations designed by the applicant themselves.
Each artwork submitted as part of your application must have a file size less than 1MB and in .jpg or .png format. We recommend the photos’ pixels per inch (ppi) should not exceed 72 ppi.
1. Evidence of eligibility

A recent headshot of you on a plain background
1.2
A copy of valid photo ID, passport, visa, or residence permit in your country of residence, showing your date of birth
2. Showcase of your design identity
2.1
Answer 3 questions about your design identity
2.2
3 x photos of recent original finished garments from your portfolio to demonstrate your skills and experience as a fashion designer
3. Competition Designs
3.1
1 x mood board illustrating the concept, inspiration and colour-theme of your collection
3.2
3 x ready-to-wear outfit illustrations
3.3
3 x ready-to-wear outfit technical drawings (minimum front side). You must clearly indicate how both the sustainable design technique(s), and 'waste' textiles are being applied to the outfits on the technical drawings.
3.4
All zero-waste patterns with exact measurements of patterns (only applicable if you are using zero-waste technique for your outfits)
4. Information about your textile selection
4.1
A photo of the original, uncut and unaltered textile for each ‘waste’ textiles
4.2
Proof of minimum 50% of regenerated content in fabric composition for each textile created from waste that you selected.
4.3
Proof of textile certification or textile standard for the textile created from waste that you selected. (optional)
5. Information about your collection
5.1
Answers to all 4 questions regarding your collection, your circular design strategies, and your aspirations as a sustainable designer
